- Cleared up all patches for Module::Release, mostly so tux can test any release against an insane number of distributions
- Finished my work on CPAN::Mirrors, which is now awaiting review before being merged into the main CPAN.pm code. The new version has a nicer looking interface and is useful apart from CPAN.pm. It still only handles the old mirror format, but later I can add the JSON format.
- Most of the rest of the time was talking with people about the new CPAN client I want to write.

- 2011-04-16: Discussed the way Test::Smoke finds its way from test to Metabase and decided with Abe to reduce the number of parse cycles from 4 to one, and send the data in structured form instead of in readable form. The human readable form will be generated at the gateway part and optionally sent to whoever wants to receive it. We merged all the parsing processes and were almost done in generation a struct that is expected on "the other side". This merely is rearranging the data already available.
- 2011-04-16: Done some testing for Andy on HP-UX, discussed and tested Module::Release for/with Brian, explained Test::Smoke to several people, discussed Metabase searching with rjbs
- 2011-04-17: Installed JSON::PP and new Devel::Cover on my perl farm. Will test later
- 2011-04-17: Expanded the Test::Smoke::Metabase facts to include the items need to recreate the human readable reports
- 2011-04-17: Started with the reporter, but now based on the transfered data structures
- 2011-04-17: After the nice dinner I had a superb Laphroaig 18 yr
- 2011-04-18: Design and create a new (PostgreSQL) database for smoke reports that reflects the internal structures so both report-transfers and conversions to Metabase and Human-Readable reports should be a lot easier
- 2011-04-18: Finished installing the new Devel::Cover-0.75 on all supported perls (about 70) and tested the new JSON merging for Text::CSV_XS. All seemed to go well. Hurray! Well done Paul.
- 2011-04-18: Finally able to send the new json structure over to the other side and decode it into Metabase nessages. The circle is closed, now we have to add the colors.
