- H.Merijn Brand (Tux) wants to integrate Test::Smoke::Metabase into Test::Smoke in a way that does not require a truckload of dependencies and make transition to Metabase easy.
- H.Merijn Brand (Tux) wants to see a selection/web interface to query the Metabase results for perl CORE smoke reports.
- Philippe Bruhat (BooK) plans to work on Test::Database, Git::Editor, System::Command (make it work under Win32) and help other projects
- Florian Ragwitz (rafl) plans to work on new report types for Metabase, as well as various other toolchain-related things such as an improved typemap system for XS (together with Steffen) or porting more t/test.pl functionality to Test::Builder.
- Ricardo Signes (rjbs) would like to work on creating a test suite for PAUSE and making it more hackable and reusable; and/or fakecpan; and/or META.json, CPAN::Meta
- Paul Johnson (pjcj) would like to work on Devel::Cover: fixing bugs, adding features, getting it to work well with parallel testing, and ideally getting it to play nicely with all the new modern perl toys. Then there's the setting up of some sort of centralised repository for coverage reports from testers/users to get the coverage from disparate platforms/configurations merged together. And then I plan to hack on anything else interesting for the other couple of days.
- Steffen Mueller would like to work on our XS tool kit. Specifically, typemaps make me want to wield a chainsaw. Maybe clean up EU::ParseXS a bit, extract typemap parsing into a separate module that allows programmatic manipulation (done-ish as EU::Typemap) and talk to people to come up with a better system. That kind of stuff. Suggestions welcome.
- Robin Edwards (rob) Keyword API interface and an abstraction layer above it that also covers Devel::Declare. Plus whatever else is interesting and people need would like help with.
- Adrian Howard (adrianh) would like to finish the work moving Test::Class to subtests started at the Birmingham hackathon - and look at converting some test modules to use the Test::Builder2 framework to see if any issues pop out. Would also like to chat about ways to encourage others to use TAP.
- Leon Timmermans (leont) would like to refactor more of the Build.PL toolchain, and work out parts of the Build.PL spec.
- user:briandfoy There's a lot that I can do to improve the cpan tool, Module::Release, some interfaces to PAUSE. I also like documenting the QA workshops :)
- Michael Peters (mpeters) I'm open to a lot this year. I can do some Smolder work or help out others in projects they have, particularly: build toolchain, cpan, Test::* modules
- Steffen Schwigon (renormalist) No plan yet, maybe some look-around, some Tapper interaction to/from other systems like Smolder, better Tapper/prove integration, maybe some benchmark integration. Fixing testanything.org content.
- David Leadbeater (dg) I'd like to work on my CPAN grep tool (http://grep.cpan.me) and interested in other CPAN tools.
- user:hanekomu Gather and organize Vim tools for Perl hackers - there are really cool tools to help you with writing Perl using vim, but they're scattered in many places. I'd like to provide a place to gather them, sort through them, document them and show how they can be combined. Also work on my Dist::Zilla plugins.
- Jozef Kutej (jozef) Work on Debian packaging. I'll first ask the Debian-Perl group for ideas like the last year. The result was patchedit => http://svn.debian.org/viewsvn/pkg-perl/scripts/patchedit?view=markup and http://pkg-perl.alioth.debian.org/patchedit/ that improved the quality of patches that are applied to CPAN modules packaged for Debian. I can also work on the idea of autopackaging - http://news.perlfoundation.org/2010/08/2010q3-grant-proposal-cpan-to.html or just package missing/new CPAN modules for Debian.
- Emmanuel Rodriguez (potyl) Make xs-coverage a CPAN app. Help others, most likely Jozef with the Debian packaging.
- Ævar Arnfjörð Bjarmason (avar) Don't have any specific plans. Interested in the CPAN smoke testing tool chain outside of the CPAN, e.g. for having TAP-powered smoking for Git. But might just end up hacking on some random project that needs help.
